Day Six… Luau Kalamaku at Kilohana.
Since we spent all day out at sea yesterday, we decided to sleep in and take it easy today. We opted to ride the shuttle to the luau because we planned to fully enjoy the evening’s event and its bottomless drink offer. I had the Blue Hawaii all night and enjoyed the coconut flavored rum with whatever else they put in there.
There is a train that takes you around the plantation with historical information. We didn’t do the train tour, instead we roamed the plantation, checked out the local vendors’ stalls and spent $30 on dog collars!
They ushered (or herded) us pretty well, considering there were more than 500 people there. Overall, there was a lot of food. There was a variety of main dishes (Pork, fish, chicken, beef and vegetarian). My favorite was the pulled pork and salmon. The entertainment was good, especially towards the end with the fire show.
