Our family adventure Blog of places to go, food to eat, things to do & people to meet… where people gather.
Day Two… Our goal for the day is to be beach bums! So Cj took a short surfing class the resort offered, in hopes of catching some waves later.
It rains an average of three times a day on this island.
We visited Lumahai Beach, Ke’e beach and Hanalei Bay. It was hard to find parking at Ke’e Beach, but if you’re there before 9 in the morning then you have a good chance. Here you will see sea turtles, kayak the Napali coast and then some. Along the roadside are streams and ponds you will only find if walking along the sea caves.
While at Hanalei, we stopped by Bubba’s burger and ordered burgers fries and milkshakes. I’m glad we swam all day and were able to burn off some calories. Before heading back to our condo, we walked around Ching Young Village and bought a blue ukulele for Cj.
Going back we stopped at the Taro fields. Then up the hill, we stopped at one of the vistas and watched a beautiful sunset over Hanalei Bay. Later on that night, storm clouds rolled in for a brief evening shower. Time to rest up and get ready for the canyons tomorrow!
