Our family adventure Blog of places to go, food to eat, things to do & people to meet… where people gather.
Today started out on a sad note because we had to say goodbye to Caramel and Milkshake, CJ’s Guinea pigs. We dropped them off at a pet adoption shelter. To distract her from her sadness, we decided to take her and one of her BFF’s to the Kangaroo Farm in Arlington. See our slideshow below. It was reasonably priced - $7 for kids and $8 for adults. They take cash or checks, no credit cards. We saw a bunch of animals. Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wallaroos, Donkeys, Llamas, Emus, Alpacas, Lemurs, Deer, Tortoises, Cavies, Peacocks, Chickens, Parrots, Pygmy Goats, Ostrich, Mini Donkey, Turkeys and more.
The owners (Ray and Joey) are so nice and they keep the farm very clean. The tour is about 40 minutes. You get to pet and feed the animals and learn all sorts of stuff about them. There are picnic tables at the front, where we sat around after the tour. Your kid can have their next birthday party there! CLICK HERE to go to their website for more information. I would recommend this place for something to do with the kids.
What a great blog! After seeing your adventures on San Juan Island, I have decided to take my family there for a few days. I especially am looking forward to having a picnic by the water and the lighthouse. Hopefully we can see some whales. My boys would just love that!
I’m fairly new to the state of Washington. The kangaroo farm looks like something my youngest would really enjoy. Thanks.
I enjoyed it myself. You will love Washington if you like the four seasons. Yes, it rains plenty but we have the most beautiful summers. Happy trecking.
