San Juan Vineyards, San Juan WA

First stop this morning, the winery. The wine shop had unique wine accessories for sale. We stayed about an hour for wine tasting. I normally favor Syrah; but to my surprise, the best one I tasted was their 2005 Merlot. Aromas of sweet cherries and a dash of cayenne intermingle with chocolate and graphite. There are sweet cherry flavors at the front of the mouth carrying to a long, bright finish. CLICK HERE for more on the vineyard.
